Meet Our Candidates

Senator Barack Obama (IL)

About Barack

Barack Obama PhotoSenator Barack Obama was raised by his single mom and his grandparents.  After college, Barack worked as a community organizer in Chicago, helping families who were devastated by the closing of the steel mills.  He continued on to Harvard Law School and turned down lucrative law firms after graduation to return to Chicago where he organized voter registrations drives.  He went to work for a small law firm, taught constitutional law and became involved in politics, his church and his community.  Elected to the US Senate in 2004, Senator Obama lives in Chicago with his wife Michelle and their daughters, Sasha and Malia.

State of the Race

Senator Obama and his vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden personify the kind of candidates that HillPAC and Hillary Clinton are dedicated to electing.  They are dedicated to the principle that by coming together and working as a community, we can improve opportunity and security for all Americans.  They will work to end the war in Iraq, expand health care coverage for the millions of uninsured, strengthen our investment in education and help working families.
